Functional description: The command lays down a duct bank with the property "existing", along user defined path.
 


Duct Bank (existing) command enables the laying of duct bank with pre-defined properties.
By laying in this way, you’ll get the duct bank with the following properties:


Properties


TCG global properties:

  • TCG Object Identifier - (identification number)
  • Note - (write an arbitrary note that refers to the selected duct bank)
  • Owner - (infrastructure owner)
  • User - (infrastructure user)

Conduit:

  • Type - Duct Bank
  • Duct Type - (default type, defined in the system settings)
  • Duct Diameter (mm)  - (default diameter, defined in the system settings)
  • Number of duct rows - (initially 0, user is expected to set the value)
  • Number of duct columns  - (initially 0, user is expected to set the value)
  • Spacer gap (cm) - (default distance, defined in the system settings)
  • Duct bank status - As-built
  • Year built - (current year is offered)
  • Conduit network area ID

Duct Bank Length

  • Trench Length (m) - length obtained from the drawing
  • Correction factor (m) - 0.0
  • Total length - same as the trench length (correction factor is 0.0)
  • Fixed length - 0.0 (i.e. not entered)

These properties can be changed through the Properties window (Figure 1).

Entering and changing properties through the Properties window is the same for all types of duct bank,
and they are explained on Duct Bank Properties page.


Duct bank laying procedure

The process of laying is the same for all three cases (designed, existing and predefined).
The only difference is in the properties assigned to duct bank after laying.
