Crossing duct laying
A precondition for crossing duct laying is to have trench routes placed
in the site plan (other TeleCAD-GIS objects are not required). Crossing duct properties are defined in relation to the method of running
the command of crossing duct laying. The command can be run in three ways:
|
Note: |
Crossing duct laying using Crossing
duct (designed) command is described further on. The laying
procedure is the same for all the above commands. The difference
lies in the properties the laid crossing ducts will have. These
properties can be changed in Properties
window. Properties may be number of ducts, duct type, year
of installation. |
From the main menu run Conduit > Crossing
ducts > Crossing Duct (designed) command.
The command is now active. The cursor is displayed in a form of plus sign
(“+”) with a message
next to it instructing you to Select route-point
(Figure 1).
Figure 1
Select the point by clicking on the route-point (Figure 2).
By left-clicking, select the route-point outside the manhole center (crossing
ducts do not normally enter the manhole but it is not prohibited).
Figure 2
After clicking, the first selected point is marked with an “X” sign,
and the program expects the next point to be indicated.
By clicking on the next route-point, new “X” sign is displayed (Figure
3).
Figure 3
The path connecting the selected points (marked with “X”) is the path
along which the crossing ducts will be generated.
Number of points for defining the path is not limited.
End the command by right-clicking or pressing the ENTER.
Crossing ducts are generated with a corresponding label (Figure 4).
